My TweetsMusic video by Gladys Knight & The Pips performing Love Overboard. (C) 1987 Geffen Records
The Pips=Best backup singers ever!
Every time I heard this, I think about different world
Ah,… music of old and yet not so very long ago. Days when it was “cool” to be in love rather than a thug and b1tch.
Love this song
Rumor Monday
i got that rite ! gblessu
Gladys is still the baddest!
yes
You know…it’s so sad Gladys hasn’t got so much funky uptempo/midtempo hits in the past…I guess she didn’t push it either after knowing in the 60’s by Mr. Berry Gordy (then Motown boss), in order to favor his then lover Diana Ross, her voice was “heavier” and it would not thrive in a more Pop arena…this can kill any artist dreams alone…Gladys should’ve not believed and kept on going…it feels so good to listen to her voice in a funky uptempo beat!…
Gladys, Gladys Gladys, Girlfriend! You haven’t lost any sparkle and still make me weak in the knees on the dance floor! Your “perfection in performance” PIPS are on fire here too! SOS!
A Different World brought me here 😌
A young child growing up on Motown and “Midnight Train to Georgia” brought me here!!!😎🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🏦🏥🏢🏪🏨🏬

Yell!😙RIGHT baby~`}😉🙄🤔😘😍😎😋😊😉⛹️♂️♥️🤸♂️🤸♀️🌹
You need to check out ,if you haven’t ventered there yet, her stuff from the 70’s(Midnight Train To Georgia).👍
I was 23 that year and lived it then too,but you should check out where she came from with her music in the 70’s ,with “Midnight Train To Georgia”,Neither One of Us”,Your The Best Thing”, those are her songs that came out when I was 8 and fell for her soulful gravely tones. If your not familiar with her earlier stuff, you should go back on the midnight train and fall in love with her again,it’s definitely a more easy listening type of sound, but it’s still her all the way. I so love her vibe!(((((😃)))))
🎶🎶🎶🎤🎶🎶🎶
You should check out her earlier stuff,it’s more of a easy listening vibe, but it’s still Gladys all the way.

Dont forget Anita and Patti.
Jeri Jazzy Good Ears
Extreme Good taste!
+Napoleonic Emperor Not really…Anita never embraced uptempo/midtempo songs…and Patti’s voice can tear you down depressed after some time listening to her…

HAPPY 74TH BIRTHDAY MERALD “BUBBA” KNIGHT, JR. (SEPTEMBER 4, 2016)
A #1 hit for Gladys Knight & The Pips on the Rhythm & Blues charts. It was the 592nd #1 R&B song of the Rock Era. It was also the first new #1 R&B song of 1988, knocking off Michael Jackson (The Way You Make Me Feel). What will the R&B scene be like in the new year? Stay tuned.
I hear this and stop dead in my tracks baby and I will break out dancing and can’t sing worth nothing but u can’t tell me I am not Gladys
deborah harrisbrown lol me too especially when Beyoncé come on too
Guuuurrrlll!!!!
Love this tune! Brings back good memories of the 1980’s.
black women didnt bleach or get fake buts or whine on men. they wore clothes and sang. wowww didnt know such a world existed
Marilyn yoh lol sure it did
It was a time when singers actually had to have the ability to sing to be able to call themselves singers.
Except dionne Warwick lol
THE 4TH SON, #FACTS #100
You Millennials get on my damn nerves always on every video talking about what brought you here. I was 10 year’s old when this song was in heavy rotation on the radio.I didn’t need anybody or some show to bring me here.
But they’re here!!!!!!!!!! No matter the route …. they’re here!
So u didnt see the Diffrent World episode man??
Get over it. I’m happy something brought them here to enjoy the awesome music that I grew up on.
Preach buddy! Amen!
This is a good example of adapting to the era without drastically changing. They still sounded like themselves but didn’t let the 80s sound drown them out. Thumbs up
2018 and this is still the jam!
2019 and it don’t stop!!!💃 🙌🏾 🙌🏾 🙌🏾
